RM Builders and Contractors Ltd receive Building Control Award
March 2021
We were both proud and delighted to receive a Certificate of Recognition 2021 from Devon Building Control in 2021. This was for the successful completion of our first-ever Passivhaus build, a derelict granite cottage on Dartmoor converted into a cutting-edge, super energy-efficient home.
RM Builders and Contractors Ltd win first prize in the DHBT 2019 Conservation Awards

RM Builders and Contractors are extremely proud to announce that we have attained not one, but two Devon Historic Buildings Trust awards last night at the Ocean Studios at Royal William Yard! We won FIRST place for our regeneration work at the Butchers' Hall in Tavistock, a 19th Century grade II listed building originally constructed for the Seventh Duke of Bedford. Alan Stewart, who represented the company on the night, was also able to take home a commendation for our restoration work at The Pannier Market in Tavistock.
RM Builders and Contractors nominated for their second DHBT Conservation Award

RM Builders and Contractors Ltd have been nominated for a SECOND Devon Historic Buildings Trust Buildings Conservation Award for the conversion of the Butchers' Hall in Tavistock, a grade II listed building originally constructed in the 1860s for the Seventh Duke of Bedford. We have been entered into Award Category D which includes projects that involve the regeneration of a historic building or structure, or the regeneration of buildings in a group.

We are absolutely delighted to announce that RM Builders and Contractors Ltd have won FIRST PRIZE in the Devon Historic Buildings Trust annual 2017 Conservation Awards for repairs to a historic building, for our 18-month restoration project of Staddon House in Walkhampton, a grade II listed former Devon Longhouse.

RM Builders and Contractors Ltd are extremely proud to have been shortlisted as finalists for the South West LABC Building Excellence Awards 2017 for their two year restoration and renovation of Staddon House, a grade II listed building. The category in which we have been nominated is Best Extension or Alteration to an Existing Home.
RM Builders and Contractors Ltd win a RIBA regional award

RM Builders and Contractors Ltd are very proud to announce that we have won a RIBA South West award for our work on Westering, which is a replacement building designed by award winning Devon architect Annie Martin. The dwelling was completed in December 2012, won a 2014 RIBA Regional Award and was put forward for a RIBA Manser Award (RIBA House of the Year).
